Brimming with candied oranges and dried mangoes, this sweet muscat from Tokaji is an unashamedly sensuous dessert wine. Beautiful balance of fragrance and freshness on the elegant medium- to full-bodied palate. A long, exotic finish where there’s barely any perceptible alcohol (just 7%). At the end it’s much drier than the first impression suggests due to some positive tannins. Drink or hold.

The 2013 Alana Tokaj Tokaji Muscat exhibits a medium to deep golden color and opens with powerful aromas of crushed apricots, pineapple, and an alluring note of honey. Rich and intensely sweet on the palate, this dessert wine delivers concentrated flavors of honey and vibrant citrus that coat the mouth with remarkable persistence. Possessing a richness that exceeds many pancake syrups, it nevertheless maintains enough vitality to keep the wine engaging and balanced. The long, lusty finish lingers with honeyed fruit and citrus nuances. Enjoy this wine with apricot tart, lemon custard, or a selection of creamy blue cheeses.
A distinctive, lightly sweet version, with a round, soft and creamy mouthfeel and expressive, aromatic notes of candied grapefruit peel, dried mint and strawberry rhubarb pie. Lightly tangy, lingering finish. 60 cases made. AN/WS
